Dr. Stanley Rule, M.D. F.A.A.P.

Stanley Rule, MD, FAAP

Dr. Rule grew up in Winston-Salem and earned undergraduate and medical degree from U.N.C. before studying pediatrics and adolescent medicine at the Children’s Hospital at the University of Alabama in Birmingham. After beginning practice in Kinston in 1976, Dr. Rule relocated to Carteret County in 1983. The beauty of local nature and the spirit of the people in the area drew him here and continues to enrich his joy of life. His wife, Penny, currently is an Acupuncturist, practicing Classical Chinese Medicine. Dr. Rule has a beautiful family, John and Brooke Rule, Amy and Jay Blount; with children Olivia and Alexander, and Ryan Johnson. The practice of pediatrics continues to be enjoyed much like a hobby but Dr. Rule also enjoys boating, kayaking, water bird photography and carving, and studying nature. He is active in the Core Sound Decoy Carvers Guild and is a volunteer for Rachel Carson Reserve in Beaufort. Through many aspects of the practice, he hopes to pass along his love and reverence for nature to our patients as we promote their optimal health and well-rounded progress to adulthood.
